After passing through a hairpin turn named "The Loop", the road heads up a southwest-facing mountainside in a southeasterly direction. Here, we looked southwest across the valley to see Heavens Peak, 8987 feet high. There are no glaciers on Heavens peak. The white stuff is just snow fields, which usually melt in summer. About mile 22.
