After dinner, we drove back up the Going-to-the-Sun Road along Lake Saint Mary.
We stopped along the way. Here we are on the shore of the lake.

Looking east from an overlook above Lake St Mary.
There is a black bear to the right of a standing grey tree stump near the center of the picture. You can't tell that it is a bear in this image. Due to low light, the picture is poor.
Farther back down the road, we came upon this grizzly bear in the meadow. It is probably the same one we had seen in the morning on the way to the Highline Trail.
Mary said she did not want to be any closer than this to a grizzly.
A ranger came along and confirmed that this was a grizzly. You can see the "hump" at the shoulders, which distinquishes grizzlies from black bears. We headed back to the motel after a great day.
